FKR is a product designed to seal the elastic tread of underpressure precincts (tyres with or without air tube, suspension air buffer etc) in case of accidental puncture with a perforating object; thus it prevents flats as well as air discharge due to porosity. FKR is projected so that it extends the tyre lifespan, helping the tyre to function at constant pressure and reducing the temperature that develops while in use.

The tests that were carried out confirmed the increase in the lifespan of tubeless tyres treated with FKR by 50% and by 30% for the tyres used with air tubes. Through air maintenance at the prescribed pressure conditions for each type of tyre, a substantial improvement of tyre lifespan and use takes place. This leads to the tyre to perform without excessive deformation as well as to keeping the bead in the correct position on the rim.

Temperature loss through absorbing part of the thermal energy generated as a result of friction, contributes as well to the increase of tyre longevity.

No. FKR is inactive from the chemical point of view and does not act negatively on the tyre or with respect to the metallic parts of the wheel.

No. The FKR is not dangerous for health. It contains propylene glycol, unlike other sealants that contain ethylene glycol which is dangerous for health. For more details please consult the Material Safety Data Sheet, supplied by the Producer. FKR is bio-degradable, non-toxic and non-inflammable.

Yes. The liquid support is soluble in the water, which determines its easy removal through simple washing with water. This is useful when you want to change tires in summer / winter on when tyres shall be recapped.  Also, when the tire is punctured with large objects, FKR can be easily removed from the area where the perforation occurred, the tire can be repaired by normal methods, and then retreated with FKR.

No. The sealant contains organic corrosion inhibitors, thus protecting metallic surfaces that come in contact. Nevertheless, FKR must be installed inside the wheels whose rims are in good shape by the corrosion point of view. Otherwise, the already existent rust on the rim may contaminate FKR, reducing its action.

No. The product is a homogenous mixture of  a “Ready to Use” type and does not require mixing . FKR maintains its homogenous consistency during storage as well as inside the tyre.

The product keeps its sealing properties between -35 degrees Celsius and +121 degrees Celsius.

Yes, but in this case the product efficiency is lower because when the inner tube is punctured with a perforating object, it often leads to tearing of the chamber (especially if the object remains in the tire). If the perforation is punctate, FKR is effective for tires with inner tube.

Yes. Products based on aerosols treat tyres only after a punctured has occurred, temporarely sealing the tire. The propellant used in spray sealant  is  inflammable and may cause tyre explosion. Because of its inflammable properties, the spray-sealant manufacturers recommends urgently removal and repaired by a specialist.

FKR is a preventative product, which seals instantaneously and permanently the punctures and it is non-flammable.

During motion, FKR is distributed under the form of a continuous film. At the moment when the tyre is punctured, tire pressure and centrifugal force lead FKR to enter in the hole, where it forms a flexible plug. As the tyre continues to run, the flexion activity triggers the entrance of supplementary material inside the perforation, and this develops a permanent seal. Practically a puncture occurring during tyre motion is going to seal instantly, so that you won’t even notice that a flat had occurred.

No. The sealant does not cover that part of the tyre. Shear rates from sidewall/crown area, to which the formed plug is exposed, will lead to its expulsion.

No. All formed plugs are flexible. An inflexible plug would not respond efficiently to extensions, contractions and flexions that occur during tyre use.

FKR seals multiple punctures, but their number cannot be predetermined since this depends upon the dimensions of the punctures. FKR is a product that is consumed through successive sealing processes. When the dosage depending on type of tyre was determined, puncture frequency on different types of vehicles was also taken into consideration. Thus a single treatment with FKR is enough for the entire life of the tire.

Occasionally this may happen, but by cleaning the valve the blockage disappears. When this occurs, remove the connector of the pump from the valve stem and inject a short burst of air to clear the plug and then reattach the hose connector and continue pumping. A paper clip or similar object can also be used to clear entrance.

Normally not, because after installing FKR, when nominal pressure is readjusted, added air under pressure removes the sealant inside the valve stem and during driving the sealant does not reach the valve area.

FKR sealing within the specified limits, is guaranteed for entire lifetime of the tire. FKR  packed in the original seal container, will remain effective for at least 3 years. FKR can be used after this period, after parameters testing . Inside the tyre, the average lifetime is two years, inside the tire beeing extreme conditions (high pressure and temperature,  repeated centrifugation). After this period removing old FKR is recommended and installing new one. But the product works effectively inside the tire during the entire period of each season (summer / winter) when changing tires is recommended.

The manufacturer guarantees that tyres equipped with FKR maintain constant pressure when a perforation with  a 6 mm perforating object occur on the tread area. The manufacturer guarantees that FKR product delivered to costumers shows no manufacturing defects. The guarantees offered to the customers are strictly limited to product replacement. The guarantee period is 12 months after product acquisition – the time limit that it retains prescripted quality characteristics – and the buyer has the right for free replacement if deficiencies are not attributable to the customer.
